UpRar would like to introduce to you a U.S. military veteran, Jeff Vinzon who loves to travel, meeting people, exploring different culture, guns, bikes, tattoos, fitness, food, and life experiences. Jeff is currently a weight lifting coach, crossfit trainer and personal trainer from Glendora, California.
Jeff has been through it all, overseas and in the mainland, his passion is to share the love and his training tips with everyone. He's a soul believer in health and fitness!
Training Tips: Learn proper lifting technique to maximize gains and decrease risk of injury. Utilize big compound movements like squat, deadlift, snatch, clean and jerk to develop strength, power, and coordination. Lift heavy, and lift often. Be open to new ideas, and new methods of training, but find what works for you, and what you love, and keep yourself happy. Don't chase perfection, chase progress, and celebrate every goal you achieve, no matter how small. Tailor your training to fit your goals. We all have different goals, so there is no one-size fits all training approach. Be humble and work hard, stay away from programs that promise results with minimal work, they don't exist. Consistency, hard work, and intelligent training are what's going get you results.
Health/Diet Tips: Listen to your body, if it makes you feel like crap, it's probably not good for you. If the ingredient list looks like a list of chemicals instead of foods, it's probably not the best for you as well. Don't look at what you eat as a "diet", people don't tend to stick to diets, think of it instead as a "nutrition plan", something that is a lifestyle. Don't starve yourself, don't stuff yourself either, eat enough to support your training and your daily activities, and adjust as needed. Don't be too hard on yourself when you have cheat meals once in awhile...they are well deserved and you should have a couple a week to keep your sanity. Enjoy life and what it has to offer, and some of that is food.
