This 26-year-old from Winthrop is not only beautiful, but is a badass in the Law Arena and the Sports Arena. With inspiration abundant and nearby, Mia Basile has the perfect support group in her family of two sisters (one being a twin), as well as her mother (a breast cancer survivor) and her father (a man who survived a family of nothing but girls, come on... That's tough and you know it).

What's your inspiration?

My inspiration is to "always do what I am afraid to do". I love challenging and setting goals for myself. I am very competitive by nature and always played sports throughout my entire life. I feel like that right there inspires me to always try something new and push myself as well as others to always be the best you can be.

What are your greatest achievements?

Playing for the 2010 Merrimack Lacrosse Team and earning All-American Honors was definitely a big achievement for myself. I have ran a Half Marathon and I also got the opportunity to go to London the year after I graduated to play Lacrosse for a semi-professional team. It was amazing!

What are your goals?

This year I will be taking part in the 2015 Boston Marathon, which I am very excited as well as anxious about. I needed a new challenge and this would also be such an honor to finish and show my appreciation for everyone in Boston.

What are your hobbies?

I love traveling and have been to a lot of places: New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, Italy and the Caribbean to name a few. I grew up playing three different sports so sports was always in my dna, and I love being around my family. For me family is everything.

Who have you worked with?

I work as an Underwriter at First Indemnity for Lawyers Malpractice, as well as at 98.5 The Sports Hub and got the opportunity to meet some great people. Plus meeting professional athletes is always fun!
