Julissa Pinckney is young, ambitious, and a music lover. Like most of us, she is chasing her dream. From the outside looking in, you can say she is like so many. But don't get it twisted, signed or unsigned, she expects to be second to none. Motivated by her 2 year old son, Rashad, an older sister and everyone who has ever doubted her, she is looking to make her mark. She has been fortunate enough to have experienced Paris Fashion week and has even graced the cover of Polished Magazine.

We were able to get to know her a little bit. Check out what she had to say.

Who's your inspiration?

My sister, Felicia, and Kanye West for his creativity and boldness.

What are your short and long term goals?

To be signed to a credible agency within 3 months, make the cover of a magazine within 6 months, and walk for at least 5 major fashion week shows within a year.

What are some good and bad experiences you've had?

I have worked with photographers that will try to get you to do more than what you're comfortable with. I have also experienced people who will try to take advantage of you in the industry.

Overall, Julissa says to stay in your lane. Never do something you aren't comfortable with.

What are some of your hobbies?

I love listening to music, spending time with my son, traveling and just being able to read a good book.

She recommends "Art of Seduction" written by Robert Greene.

Having worked with many photographers, designers and industry people, she is not looking to just succeed and disappear. She is hoping that modeling can allow her to give to children less fortunate. That is always a good goal in my book.
