Tidal streaming service might be in a little bit of a pickle. According to Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Sony has threatened to pull all of the music from artists' under their umbrella (cue Rihanna) from Tidal, including music from Tidal's co-owner Beyoncé. Sony has reportedly been asking for "large advances" and has yet to reach a deal with the streaming service for the rights to the company's catalogue. Sony also owns the rights to music from Usher and Alicia Keys to name a few. If you think Sony is bluffing, just ask SoundCloud. Sony pulled all of its artists music from that streaming site already.

If H to the Izzo is unable to meet Sony's price, it would be a huge blow to the streaming service looking to make a name for itself. Tidal has reached deals with Universal and Warner Records but with big names under Sony's staple, it needs this in a big way. If there is one bright side, Bloomberg has reported that Tidal is in good financial standing so the possibility the two sides can come to an economic arrangement is still there. We'll have to wait and see.
