A group of Hackers known as "The Impact Team" have broken into the database of websites such as Ashley Madison, Established Men and Cougar Life. The hack has been acknowledged by the parent company Avid Life Media. They stated that the breach has been stopped and are currently working with authorities to assist in finding the culprits. The hackers could potentially have 37 millions users information.

The reason for the hack is somewhat surprising. The hackers have suggested it is due to Ashley Madison's claim of a "full delete" of your account for $20. They have stated it is a "complete lie" based on the fact that the information is still held on servers. They have threatened to release the names of all registered users if the sites do not shut down. I'd bet that ALM will not be shutting anything down. Maybe these cheaters were smart enough not to use their "actual" credit card. Maybe..
